I have decided not to continue with "Storytime: Untitled as of Now" anymore. The reasons behind this move are manifold. Mainly it is not moving in the direction I had wanted it to - I didn't want it to be yet another overly saccharine love story. Now it is so dripping with mush that even I can't bear to read it! :-(
Also despite rejoinders that these characters are fictional, people seem to think that I am writing my life story and are guessing as to who is Venkat. Folks, Srishti really isn't me.
So until I hone my story writing skills a bit and churn out something better, you can rejoice at not having to put up with Storytime! :-)

@kaarthik - thank you. to reitrate again, this story is not drawn from personal experiences. it is just something that can happen to anyone. but as you say it is difficult to alienate the protagonist from the author. maybe at some subconsious level i tried to model the main character like me. anyways the main reason to stop is mush though! :-) it seems like some third rate romance novel! :-)
Seems very similar to one of those mega-serials suddenly stopped because one of the actors had a fight with the producer.
Anyways...whats the ending? Do Venkat and Srishti get together?
@vmax - see this is exactly the reason why i stopped it - it's tooo cheesy, like a mega serial.
anyways i don't like stories without an ending too. i had planned to introduce another guy that mystery caller guy, who is the kind of guy she dreamed of. and then start getting together and then some bad experience at some party or something. so she goes to back to venkat, and all is well and they live happily ever after! :-)
The mystery caller is venkat... (just like "you've got mail")
@littlecow - sure why not! :-)
hey - anniyanam pannita di ..
too bad -
u should have continued writing it ..
i enjoyed every line of it ..
and used to wait for story time ..
THADIYE !!!!
@subs - You were one of the people who kept asking me if this is true-life experience! :-)
Yes - i did ask -
but u very well know that i was trying to pull ur leg ..
common janani ..
@subs - I knew you were kidding alright! :-) It's just that the story has reached a point where I don't see any unconventional ending or twist or whatever. When I first set out to write I wanted something different, and since it's clear that's not going to happen, that's why I have stopped it. :-)
my god! so much happenned in my absence! with reagrd to your story time & ur life(?!!??) hehe!
@sharan - much has happened with storytime and not my life! the reason why storytime is stopped is 'coz nothing's happened with my life! :-)
