Places I Want to Live in

I mean places I want to actually live in for a considerable amount of time, not just visit or tour.

I want to live in Kerala and not in Trivandrum, but somewhere near the backwaters. In a house like this

So when someone comes home I can say "You wanna see the famous lagoons of Kerala? Just come to our backyard". And how great would it be just able to have a view like this while dining? And maybe catch a boat race or two while munching banana chips.

And I also want to live in new York for a while. This is not a dollar dream and I don't want to just live in the US of A, but I want to actually live and experience New York. I want to go to Central Park and the Met and check out if places like Central Perk exist and travel on those topless buses and Broadway and so much more! Having most of my favorite sitcoms based on New York is the cause and fuel for this. Also I get to wear this too! :-)

I want to live in Venice too, just for the canals thing. I like the idea of taking a boat (or a gondola for the politically correct) just to buy bread or pay the electricity bill! :-)

I don't know how much it snows in NY. In any case I wanna live in a really snowy place where I can get bundled up in warm wear and trudge on snow like a penguin.

Thats all folks! :-)

that's a big list. I guess the NY / London buses are called Open Top buses. Sorry for nitpicking.

@kaps - Yeah I figured they would certainly be called something better than topless! :-) See, this is why I want to live in New York for a while. :-) And thanks for the trivia. :-)

@harini - Australia, yes - how can I forget DCH! :-)

@Subs - Right you are. Given a choice of all these places to settle down for life, I would probably choose Chennai. :-)
Kerala trip sure. :-) So this joins Pune, Goa plans! :-)

Just let your team lead /manager see this post. They'll get the hint and offer you an onsite trip to NY or Venice or wherever the clients are! :-)

@jinguchakka - Then they will know that I am writing blogs instead of writing code. :-) And they will send home to Chennai instead of onsite. :-)

I love NY too. My fascination is with the sky scrapers though. Got to watch two broadway shows. Chicago (half of it) and Bombay dreams.loved them both!! Topless bus things looked boring.Sorry to say but there is no Central perk! (Atleast i think so)

@anon - Woah a testimonial from the horse's mouth! :-) Those topless buses are boring? They seem nice when I see it on TV though. :-)

Bumped on your journal from K7's.
About your wanting to live in NYC.. NYC is a most awesome place to visit, say on a weekend, but its the most worshtax place to live in!
The best is to (like me) live half an hour from NYC, so that you can visit it whenever you feel like, and ATST the place doesn't kill you :)

@ps - Welcome! :-) All these sitcoms paint such a rosy picture of NYC. But I saw this movie recently "Joe's Apartment", that killed .01% of my aasai to live in NYC. :-) Half an hour from NYC seems reasonable.

Snow is beautiful only when are warm and cozy inside a building. Trust me on this.
